The only reasons to stay at the Academy Hotel are that it's (1) close to Leonardo Da Vinci airport (barely 4 km away), and (2) cheap -- wonderfully inexpensive. Oh, I guess it's also very convenient if you want to explore Ostia Antica or the Port of Trajan archaelogical zone, which are very close at hand, but I don't have the impression that's what's bringing guests here.

The school has moved into a better space in the airport's main terminal, added several new glass-cockpit aircraft, and installed a state of the art full motion simulator for rainy day training." Furthermore, the student has a great advantage of learning at a less busy airport, all the while learning the intricacies of a controlled airport. A controlled airport means that a student will become very comfortable communicating with the tower; which is particularly helpful for the student wishing to pursue a career in commercial aviation as a commercial pilot.
